This past year the commodity markets have seen some of
the best moves to the upside in many years. These markets
remind me of the 1970s and early 1980s. During the late
1990s the commodity markets were all going down due to
fears of deflation, the stock market was going straight up
and people were doing very well before the collapse. Today
more and more money is being taken out of the stock market
and being put into many different areas including
commodity markets. The S&P 500 is not nearly as
volatile as it was 5 years ago while almost every
commodity has now has extreme volatility. These moves are
